John Obe Mikel Becomes Fourth Chelsea Star Ruled Out of World Cup Finals

Nigerias 23 year-old midfielder John Obe Mikel has become the latest Chelsea star to be ruled out of the 2010 World Cup Finals,Wales Shirt, with a severely bruised ankle, Mikel had only recovered from a knee injury before been struck down with this latest set-back.Nigerian spokesman Idah Peterside stated: He had been complaining about a niggle in the ankle when we first arrived in South Africa but after training yesterday it really flared up. His knee was doing fine and you can understand he is devastated about this new problem. Hes not sure how it happened. It wasnt a tackle with another player or anything like that.Mikel becomes the fourth Chelsea player to miss the Finals through injury joining, Michael Ballach (Germany),Brazil football shirt, Michael Essien (Ghana) and Jose Boswinga (Portugal),Olympiakos Shirt, and with Didier Drogba very doubtful for the Finals also,after breaking a bone in his arm in a warm-up match against Japan it would make it five Chelsea players to be ruled out for the Finals.
